With almost 50 years experience, Dianne McLellan Dancers is one of Queensland's best professional performing arts schools. Founded by Dianne McLellan, DMD provides students of all ages and abilities with professional dance and performance training in a caring and family friendly environment.

Students train in all facets of dance including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, and Musical Theatre. Students can also sit for examinations for Royal Academy of Dancing and Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing.

Along with fantastic technical foundation, students at DMD can further their experience with both local and national competitions and even the opportunity to perform and compete internationally. DMD offers classes for early childhood (3-5 year olds), teenage beginners, adults, along with students dreaming of making dance their career.

Qualified teachers ensure students receive quality dance education in a safe environment, where their individuality, talent, and personalities can grow and evolve to the levels they desire. Dianne McLellan founded the Dianne McLellan Dancing Academy almost 50 years ago, and has become one of Australia's most well respected dance teachers, adjudicators and choreographers. Throughout her time teaching, she has nurtured the talents of thousands of young dancers, and seen many go on to highly successful careers around the world. Dianne has a undeniable passion for all things dance and her love for teaching is well known in the local community and beyond. Her knowledge and experience are what make her leadership unparalleled within the industry.

Donna Grogan was a past student of the Dianne McLellan Dancers and has been a core member of the DMD teaching team for many years now. Her passion for classical, contemporary and modern dance styles are passed on to students in a variety of open classes, exam technique, private lessons, and concert preparation. Donna's caring and creative teaching style make her a favorite with her students.  She is also a fully registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dancing, and holds a Full Teachers Diploma from the C.S.T.D.

Kathryn Findlay was also a past student who has become a valuable member of the DMD teaching team. Her love for jazz and tap dance is passed on during her classes with both young teens, seniors and adults. Kathryn also teaches and prepares students for their C.S.T.D examinations (Full Teachers Diploma), and the yearly performance of 'Spotlight on Fame'. 

Daniella Greco grew up dancing with the Dianne McLellan Dancers and has developed her teaching skills through her time working as an assistant and student teacher. Her talent and love for a variety of dance styles inspires her young students and helps her to pass on new techniques to them in a fun, and exciting way. We welcome Dani to the DMD teaching team.

Stephanie DePapi spent her childhood learning dance at DMD, performing at many eisteddfods, concerts and special events. Her love for rhythm tap, jazz, and musical theater and her natural ability made her a favorite among students as she spent more time as a student teacher. Now with a Full Teachers Diploma from C.S.T.D. she joins the teaching faculty for tap and jazz classes and private lessons. 

Natasha Window is a past student and teacher at DMD, who now works as a professional singer, dancer, and actor in Sydney and around Australia. She has studied at Brent Street Studios and the Australian Institute of Music and brings a wealth of knowledge when returning to teach masterclasses and private lessons.

Jesse Rasmussen is a special guest teacher at DMD and is well known for his extensive career both as a performer, and choreographer. Whether you've seen him on stage in The Tap Pack touring Australia, in Tap Dogs on the West End, or as a choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance his talent and personality are effervescent. Jesse is a hit with students and we love welcoming him to our studio. 

Tamara Hanton spent her childhood dance education learning from Dianne McLellan Dancers and then Anne Fraser School of Dance on the Sunshine Coast. Her natural talent for classical ballet has now led her to become a featured soloist with the Queensland Ballet Company. Tamara often joins us at DMD to pass on her knowledge for classical, repertoire, and contemporary dance to our students.
